Create a mobile app for your radio or web radio station
Live in one tap, shows to listen again, videos, the weather and the on-air message: what an app brings to a radio station, with a real demo and its price.

A radio app puts the live stream and every show in each listener’s pocket. It carries your station’s name, you keep it up to date from your phone, and it starts at €19 a month.
Seven in the morning. Your listeners get up, grab a coffee and look for the live stream. On an aggregator, your station is one line among thousands. In your app, it is alone on the screen, with your logo and your colors.
I’ll show you a radio app here, with a real demo, what goes into it and what it costs.
Why an app for your radio station
A loyal listener wants two things: to hear the live stream in one gesture, and to find the show they missed. The app gives them both, directly.
It also gives you a direct relationship. A special show, a guest, an on-air game: a notification alerts your listeners, and they tune in.
Everything below works for a local, community or commercial station, a web radio, a school or campus radio.
What goes into a radio app
Here is the “radio” demo I prepared. It is a starting template: you replace the shows, texts and colors with those of your station.

The live stream
A dedicated section plays your live stream, with a full-screen player. The listener opens it, taps the button, and is on air.
Shows to listen again
Each programme has its own section: the morning news, politics, the health magazine, the evening news. Episodes are listed by date, with their length and a built-in player. Listeners save them to their favourites and can leave a comment.
Are your podcasts already with a host? The section catalogue reads podcast feeds, and also offers Spotify for Podcasters, Spreaker and Ausha. Your episodes arrive in the app on their own.
Videos and features
Behind the scenes in the studio, the portrait of the week: a video section, connected to your YouTube channel if you have one. And article sections for the weather, the horoscope or the local calendar, with a search to find everything.
Bring listeners back on air
“In ten minutes: our guest answers your questions live.” You write these two lines, and the notification lands on your listeners’ screens. One tap, and they are on the live stream. Notifications are unlimited on every plan.
I explain how to write them well in the article on push notifications.
To fund the station, the app can show advertising banners from the main ad networks. You choose the placements and the format.
Who keeps the radio app alive?
The station team, with no technical skills. If your podcasts are connected to your host, episodes arrive on their own. Everything else is published like a message: a title, a text, a photo.

The AI writing assistant helps you write show descriptions, and you can manage the app from ChatGPT or Claude. The documentation is built into the back office, in 16 languages, and support is included.
How much does a radio app cost
With Maymoune, you start from a ready-made template, and every feature is included in each of the three plans:
- Starter, €19 a month: your web app, installed from a link or a QR code.
- Ultra, €59 a month: the same, plus the iPhone, iPad and Android app on the stores.
- Ultra lifetime, €2,999: a one-time payment, with publishing on the App Store and Google Play included.
For a radio station, the stores matter: your listeners search for your name on the App Store and Google Play. The article on the web app or the stores helps you pick the right moment. If you mostly produce podcasts, also read the one on a podcast app. The plans are detailed on the pricing page.

Can the live stream play in the app?
Yes. A dedicated section plays your live stream with a full-screen player, and the catalogue also offers live video.

Yes. The back office connects your app to ad networks, to show banners or interstitials in the placements you choose.
