A therapist app: online appointment booking

A practice app lets your clients book on their own, in the evening or on a Sunday, in the slots you have opened. It presents your services, fills your Google Calendar, and starts at €19 a month.

Tuesday, 2 pm. You are in a session, and the phone buzzes in the drawer. One voicemail, then another. In the evening you call three people back, and two of them don’t pick up.

With your app, those three people would have picked their slot themselves, and you would have found it in your calendar after the session. I’ll show you what it looks like, with a real demo, and what it costs.

Why an app for a therapist

Your time belongs to your clients, not to the phone. An app takes bookings while you work, and gives you back the hours spent calling people back.

It also answers questions before the first session: who you are, how an appointment goes, how long it lasts. A new client arrives reassured, knowing what they came for.

Everything below works for a naturopath, a sophrologist, an osteopath, a coach, a massage therapist, a psychologist, or anyone who sees clients by appointment.

The screens of a practice app

Here is the “meet” demo I prepared, built around a naturopath. It is a starting template: you replace the texts, services and photos with your own.

The home screen and the Book button

The first screen says what matters: a photo, a sentence, a button to book. Just below, a few lines about you and your method, with a link to the full page.

A page for each service

Consultation, massage, reflexology: each service has its own page, with a photo and a text explaining how it goes. You add the length and the price. A client shares the page in one tap with a friend looking for the same thing.

Contact in one tap

The Contact page offers three buttons: call, send an email, open WhatsApp. No number to copy, no address to look up.

Online appointment booking

Booking runs on the “Appointment booking” extension, which you switch on in one click in the back office. It is included in all three plans.

Then you set it up the way you work:

• Your hours: opening days, times, and your holiday closures.
• Your slots: the length of a session and the minimum time between two appointments. Each slot takes one appointment.
• Your Google Calendar: it syncs with the app both ways. A booking made in the app shows up in your calendar, and a time blocked in your calendar disappears from the app.
• Several calendars: one per practitioner or per room, if you share a practice.
• The form: you choose the fields to fill in, for example name, phone, email and the reason for the visit.

After each booking, you and your client receive a confirmation email. The client sees your free slots in real time and books at the time that suits them, even at 11 pm.

Staying in touch between sessions

“Two slots just opened on Thursday, book from the app.” That message goes out in seconds, to all your clients or just some of them. Notifications are unlimited, in every plan.

Your clients can also write to you from the app, with a photo, a video or a text. You publish the reviews you choose on a Testimonials page, which reassures newcomers.

Who keeps the practice app alive?

You, in a few minutes a week. Your hours are set once, and your Google Calendar does the rest. The easiest way to start: one page per service, your introduction, and your slots for next week.

The writing AI helps you describe your services when words don’t come, and you can control the app from ChatGPT or Claude.

How much does a therapist app cost
